We started the day at 8:30 as we waited downstairs at the hostel to go. There was a slight misunderstanding about when and where we should wait for Señor and Señora. However, it was not an issue and we soon bid adieu to the beautiful city of Salamanca-las ranas included.
We were all quite tired so many of us tried to sleep in the car. It was a lively ride in with breathtaking views and lively music in the background. When we reached Mérida, we stopped for a drink and a small snack at a local café. It struck me that the people seemed so helpful and friendly, which was a slight change from my perception of the people in the more northern areas.
After we stretched our legs, we hit the rode once more until we came to SEVILLA. I was amazed at the simplistic beauty of the neighborhoods and frightened by the narrowness of the streets. Our flat was comfortable, attractive and well-situated. Although we had to have a laugh at how one of the rooms were supplied with not 2, not 3, but 8 various towels and but ONE pillow.
We stepped out as a group-without cellphones- and toured the neighborhood by foot. We saw The Guadalquivir River and walked along while looking at the sites. Soon it was time to go home, but first we had to stop at Carrefour Express to get the ingredients for dinner, which our lovely chefs, Himee and Priscilla, prepared for us. While waiting for dinner, we amused ourselves in the living room with a bit of karaoke and more.
For dinner we had chicken wings, mashed potatoes, green salad and sweet carrots with a creamy garlic sauce. It was delicious. Afterwards we all retired and got ready for the next day.
