Today, the day began a little later than usual. Normally, we wake up at 6 a.m., but today we got up around 7:30 or almost 8 a.m., as we were scheduled to leave only at 10:30 a.m. This allowed us ample time to prepare, enjoy breakfast, and share a pleasant moment with the group. However, a small incident occurred when the microwave caught fire. Fortunately, it was not serious.

We then set off on our journey to Denia, having started from Jaén. The drive was lengthy, and we stopped once for a quick restroom break before continuing. The road seemed endless, and during the journey, most of us fell asleep in the vehicle, as there wasn’t much to do on the five-hour drive.

After several hours, we made a brief 30-minute stop in Alicante to meet our professor’s best friend and their family. This encounter was quite enjoyable, as we shared a drink and pleasant conversation. Afterward, we resumed our journey, with only an hour left to reach Denia. We arrived there after nightfall, which made it difficult to appreciate the surrounding landscape. However, it was clear that the town, located near the sea, held a certain charm that we hope to explore tomorrow.

For dinner, we visited another of our professor’s friends, Carmen, who hosted us with delicious burgers. The evening was spent enjoying good food and engaging conversation. Now, we have returned home for the night and are ready to rest. Until next time, good night!
